14 days of answered calls, before you pay a dollar.

“Free trial” is a promise, so here is exactly what it means: no card to start, the clock doesn't run while you're setting up, and if you walk away you owe nothing — because we never had anything to charge.

Signup to decision, step by step.

  1. 1

    Clock not running

Create an account with an email and a password. No card, no billing details — the signup form doesn't ask, so there is nothing on file to charge, then or later.

  2. 2

    Build your receptionist

    Clock not running

Tell Genie about your business, pick its voice, and test it by text and by ear until it answers the way you would. Take a day or take three weeks — setup time never counts against your trial.

  3. 3

    Go live

    Day 1 starts here

When it sounds right, request go-live. We review the setup — a person checks that your receptionist is complete before it ever takes a customer's call — and approval is what starts your 14 days. You get the full trial on a working receptionist, not on a half-finished one.

  4. 4

    Two weeks of real calls

    Days 1–14

Forward your missed calls and let it work. Every answered call, transcript, and lead lands in your dashboard, so by the end of the trial you're not guessing what it's worth — you can count it. We email you before the trial ends; the deadline is never a surprise.

  5. 5

    Decide

    Day 14

Pick a plan and check out — that's the first time a card enters the picture. Or do nothing: your receptionist stops answering, you owe nothing, and your setup, transcripts, and leads stay saved in your account if you come back.

What free actually means.

No card to start

The signup form doesn't ask for one. A trial that can't charge you is the only kind that's honestly free.

It can't auto-convert

Some trials quietly roll into a subscription. This one can't — becoming a paying customer takes you, deliberately, at checkout.

The full product

The trial receptionist is the same one paying customers get — same voice, same guardrails, same dashboard. Not a demo with the good parts held back.

Your work is kept

Walk away and your profile, transcripts, and leads stay in your account. Come back next season and pick up where you left off.

The fine print, printed.

Why does approval start the clock?

Because a trial spent configuring isn't a trial. The 14 days measure the thing you're actually deciding on — a live receptionist answering your missed calls — so the clock waits until it can.

Why is there a review at all?

A person checks every setup before it goes live so a half-configured receptionist never answers a real customer. It protects your callers, and it's also why the trial starts at a moment we can both point to.

What happens the day the trial ends?

If you've checked out, nothing changes — your receptionist keeps answering. If you haven't, it stops answering and your calls fall back to wherever they went before. No invoice, no collections, no card charged, because there is no card.

What does continuing cost?

Whatever plan you pick — see pricing. The one-time setup fee lands on your first invoice after the trial, and annual billing waives it entirely.

The trial costs you one forwarded number.

Fourteen days, every missed call answered, and the receipts in your dashboard. If the leads aren't worth it, walk away owing nothing.
